They were easy to install, but you do need to carefully remove them from the backing so as not to rip them. I opted for the wide tree format and it has stayed in place nicely. I had no problems removing and repositioning pieces. They did not disturb my paint at all. These were a great choice as I was looking for a decorating idea that is not permanent and would not leave any marks or holes in the wall.
