Let me warn you that when this plant blooms it gives off a horrid odor resembling that of dung or of a corpse as a means to attract flies which pollinate it. I would recommend planting the voodoo lily away from any entrance ways and windows so you can spare yourself from the incredibly unpleasant odor which occurs as it blooms. The odor does dissipate after a few days. If you can avoid the odor this is a very interesting beautiful plant.

I spent for Hirts seeds about 200$! One tomato definitely won't be round and white as promised. I can see this already.
Very disappointed.

IRIS: Iris is a genus of between 200-300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species. A must have perennial, the iris tolerates wet, boggy areas and is very adaptable to a variety of soil types.

If you container plant these seeds, be sure not to let the soil dry out. I have so many seed pods from these 3 vines its crazy! SO many flowers! Also, the color was nothing like in the posted photograph, but were more of a very vibrant amethyst purple with a crimson veining. Not burgandy-ish at all, but very beautiful regardless.

Used for beads since at least 2,000 B.C., recently uncovered at a western Indian historical site. Once an important source of food, most likely originating in India. When the polished grain-like seeds are mature, there is a perfect hole through the middle, literally nature's perfect bead. Used for making rosaries and for musical African shaker gourds. Seed - cooked. A pleasant mild flavour, it can be used in soups and broths. It can be ground into a flour and used to make bread or used in any of the ways that rice is used.
