The stiff, rounded leaves of the Eucalyptus Cinerea look like silvery coins attached directly to the branches. Eucalyptus is a fast growing houseplant that's often used in dried flower arrangements. It's virtually pest free, and you'll find it very easy to grow under a wide range of home conditions.
The Eucalyptus cinerea grows to an average of 20 to 30 feet tall. Young leaves are round, grey-green, and about 1 inch in diameter and grow opposite each other on the stem. IRIS: Iris is a genus of between 200-300 species of flowering plants with showy flowers. It takes its name from the Greek word for a rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species. A must have perennial, the iris tolerates wet, boggy areas and is very adaptable to a variety of soil types.
One of the most easily grown Iris, originating from Northern Asia. Does well under all types of weather conditions. Best grown in a moist soil but will tolerate dryer conditions. They begin blooming after the Bearded Iris but before the Japanese Iris. Flowers are held on strong stems above the attractive, narrow, lance like leaves. Originally, only the deep violet blue was available, but now we are able to add many colors which have the same fine naturalizing habits as the original.

When I received the seeds, I literally threw them on the dirt and sprinkled some leftover potting soil on top. Within two days, I already had plants coming up with some semi-regular watering! They have not flowered yet, but it's only been a few weeks, so we'll see.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a couple of these containers and because they were 'wildflowers' not requiring much sunlight I figured they would work in the fence line. I rent so I didn't do any prep work to the soil and just tossed them into the grass/weeds.
It's the early part of May and I don't see anything. I think I screwed up. If I start seeing ANY flowers this Summer I'll update this but it was my fault for not prepping the soil. (sorry little flowers)...

This was true of about 95% of all the seeds that I bought with these seeds. I live in an area where it is in the 60's at night and 80's during the day (year around). I am at 4,800 feet above sea level in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. The seeds were started in small cups in potting soil in my greenhouse under a very controlled condition.
The seeds were shipped to my Texas address and brought to my home in my auto. I say this so there is no miss-understanding that they were damaged via x-ray by way of a flight.
It was a waste of time and money.

If you container plant these seeds, be sure not to let the soil dry out. I have so many seed pods from these 3 vines its crazy! SO many flowers! Also, the color was nothing like in the posted photograph, but were more of a very vibrant amethyst purple with a crimson veining. Not burgandy-ish at all, but very beautiful regardless.

I sprinkled these in an area made barren by the construction. They are coming up beautifully; some are already blooming. Some are getting quite tall so I guess I don't know exactly what they mean by "low growing." We are having a lot of rain right now so perhaps that's the reason for the height. Either way this is a lovely assortment and I am very pleased.

Shasta Daisies RESEED well, so can be treated like a PERENNIAL in mild climates - a sudden frost will kill them, tho, as with ANY flower. But since they reseed, they will come back, and spread around the yard. We use peat pods (pellets) like Jiffy 5032 Professional Greenhouse 25-Plant Starter Kit to start the seedlings because otherwise the voracious BIRDS in our area EAT all the sprouts. We also have a problem with CATS using the flower beds, so we intersperse BIG ROCKS among the seedlings when we put them out to discourage THAT!
