(More customer reviews)This is the 3rd time I ordered (10 lb.bag) tall fescue from here. First I wanted to try it and I like it cause my backyard has alot of shade and it grew quickly. 2nd time I wanted to finish off my yard and ran short so now I have another bag coming. This stuff grows quickly, about 5 days to see new growth and another week it's 3 inches. I watered alot. Not soaking. Mostly at night before it got dark everyday. One thing I found out, orders for seed are at a peak this time of year. (1st week in Sept.) When I ordered this last time it wasn't shipped until 5 days after my order was placed. Otherwise when I ordered the previous 2 orders they shipped right away. So far I'm happy with this product and would recommend it.

Summer Lawn Tall Fescue Blend combines three strong turf-type tall fescue varieties: Wolfpack, Silverado II, and SilverStar. Developed at our research facility in North Carolina, 'Summer Lawn' was especially created for areas where summer's heat, humidity, and disease pressure can cause significant problems for tall fescue lawns. With dark green color and medium blade width, 'Summer Lawn' will establish a deep root system for good drought tolerance. Seeding rates for new lawns: 6-8 lbs. per 1,000 sq.ft. East of Colorado. For areas, Colorado and west, 8-10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. For overseeding existing lawns: 4-5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
