(More customer reviews)I baught this as a Christmas present, and it worked out nicely. Unfortunatly; however, a few things were missing from the item description. First, this IS A HANGING ORNAMENT FOR A TREE OR PLANT, this is NOT a figurine. It does come with a funky metal hook so that you can place it into a potted plant. But, the hook is just a little too small to actually be useful. I get the impression that they package one of these hooks with every ornament A to Z gifts sells. This particular ornament is just a little to big for the stock hook.
FYI, the size of this ornament is approximately 4 1/2" long, about 5" tall, and about 2" wide. You can find the exact size for this item in the description, but it is hidden pretty well.
There is a stand that you can get for this horse so that you can use it as a figurine, but it is sold seperately.
This figurine is surprisingly intricate and detailed. I don't see a reasonable way for the painting to be done by a machine for anything other than a base coat. That means this ornament's accents are done by hand. While this can be a very nice touch, if you read some of the other reviews, several people got ornaments that were not painted very well. I can only guess that they happened to get an ornament that was painted by the "new guy"
This can be an excellent gift; so long as you know what you're getting.
