(More customer reviews)The product wasn't what I was expecting. The wire leading to the battery pack is only 3-4 inches, so ends up dangling from the vase. The lights are not very bright and aren't noticeable unless the room is dark. The fiber optic threads are somewhat stiff and won't separate easily so virtually impossible to get a fan shaped design, they cluster together.

Produce wonderful lighting effects for a wide variety of craft and hobby applications with this unique battery operated fiber optic light kit (batteries not included). The light shines only at the tip of each of the 50 fiber strands. The strands are approximately 12" long but can be cut shorter if required. The fibers are gathered together and held in place by a black plastic tube measuring 2-1/8"LX3/4" dia. that contains a small light bulb. Attached to the tube is a battery case on a 23" wire which has an on-off switch and measures 2-1/4"L X1-3/16"WX9/16"D.The fibers are flexible and can be positioned to create interesting patterns of light and since the light shines only at the tip the fibers can be glued, taped or wired into position without affecting the display. Included in this offer are two complete fiber optic assemblies. All you need to do is add batteries, flip the switch and marvel at the tiny, bright, glow at the tips of each of the fiber optic strands.
