Taiso Yoshitoshi, was the most influential and prolific woodblock print artist of Meiji-era Japan. He began his masterpiece, the hundred-print series Tsuki hyakushi (One Hundred Aspects of the Moon), in 1885, completing it just before his death in 1892.
