(More customer reviews)We were initially excited about this product- especially after reading the good reviews. We are away for 6 months at a time and when we would come back, our planters would be overgrown with weeds- so we invested in all the promises made by the rubber mulch. Initially, it worked better than organic mulch- our planters had almost no weeds after we came back 6 months later... but since then, the weeds have taken the advantage again, just like when we had regular mulch. More importantly, we cannot get our bush clippings or oak leaves out of the planters without also having the rubber mulch come out too- and it gets thrown away with the leaves and branches- unless you want to spend hours sitting near the ground picking all the little pieces of rubber out of your raked piles before bagging... which we don't. We tried to blow the leaves out (like is promised you can do), but the mulch comes right out with the leaves. This mulch was so expensive that I refer to each piece of rubber as "a quarter" (25 cents)- so now we joke that we throw away A LOT of quarters everytime we clean out the planters :( We cannot recommend this product for these reasons. It wasn't worth the exorbitant price over regular mulch since you inevitably end up throwing so much of it away with your trimmings and leaves. After only 2 years, it's no better than using regular mulch for weed control. We're disappointed- we had high hopes.
