It does have a strong smell that precludes use indoors, but if used outside and allowed to dry it is beneficial for houseplants including delicate orchids. It works for at least two weeks outdoors, longer inside. I have found it to be very effective even against sow beetles (rollie pollies) in the garden. I take care not to breathe the fumes, but swear by this product which has kept roses and orchids healthy and insect-free. It is only for non-edible plants.
