I was a bit reluctant at first as it is "paint by numbers" and my memories of that are with crayons in a coloring book. This is a pleasant surprise! It kept him engaged as the pictured was revealed as he added more colors. There is some paint mixing (easy; the directions tell you how). The finished picture looks wonderful and gave my son the confidence to try other drawings and paintings on his own. This one is now proudly hanging on his wall. Excellent quality and we have bought other projects by this same company.
Top that off with great customer service from the company. We misplaced the directions/guide and the company sent one out immediately.
