There are satin ribbon, large "ric-rac" type ribbon and embroidered appliques complimenting the printed floral pattern. My only disappointment was that what looked to be a yellow floral patterned section was actually a pale lime green floral patterned section. The other colors are exactly as expected. I was looking for violet, pink and yellow but this will be close enough. I wish the description said something other than purple floral as the color. The description on the Happy Flowers Quilt that is pink at least mentions the complimentary colors. I am still pleased with the item and hope this helps other buyers. - Purple Happy Flower Quilt Set - Twin
