They create the perfect ethereal glow since the lights are encased in the petals, which are made of some kind of thick papery material. They can be compared to Christmas lights, except you can use them year-round and they are much prettier :)
They are brighter than I expected (brighter than Christmas lights), so while I do keep them wrapped around my bedframe, I don't keep them lit when I'm asleep haha. The cord is also a nice practical length. Shipping came a lot faster than I expected too. Overall a great product, super pleased with my purchase!
