Gardman R688 Walk-In Greenhouse Review

It took about an hour to assemble it and get it all set up. It was easy to do by myself and the metal poles and plastic connectors are all labeled. The instructions are on the outside of the box, which I didn't care for, since they can get torn in shipping, but mine were fine. They were easy to follow, since it is just a labeled drawing with a few sentences.
I have it on the south side of my house on a concrete patio. On the inside, I tied down a cynder block in each corner to keep it from blowing away and it is doing a great job. I also bought a heater and thermostat for it. At night, inside the greenhouse the temp stays in the 40s, even though the temp outside is in the low teens. During the day, even though the temp is in the 30s, it gets up into the 80s and quite humid inside the greenhouse. I'm in central NC, so the sun is fairly strong and does a great job of heating it up during the day, but once the sun goes down and the temp drops, you'll need a heater (and thermostat) in it to keep it at a specific temp, which I bought at Greenhouse Megastore. I bought the Portable Electric Heater, 120V, Item Number: HT-2000 ($49) and the Portable Prewired Thermostat, Item Number: CT-1000 ($48) and both are doing a great job.

Greenhouse Four-Tier Mini / B000NCTGQE
I bought this greenhouse to start seedlings in the house before transplanting them outside for spring, and also to host a little herb garden in the kitchen area.
Firstly, the measurements listed here are accurate. This is a very large unit, of respectable quality, and very affordable. I have yet to find another unit this size and quality online or in catalogues that doesn't cost twice this much. In fact, this same greenhouse is selling in some places for double this price, plus shipping, so Amazon has quite the bargain here.
Secondly, the greenhouse is incredibly easy to put together. We had it out of the box and set up in less than half an hour, with no onerous tools required. The shelves are a thin metal lattice, to let sunlight filter down to the bottom levels, but the metal is strong and feels very sturdy. The cover has enough lee-way to slip on and off easily, as well as ties to hold it in place, and extends well to the ground, to act as a barrier to curious house cats and naughty puppies.
However, and here's where I docked a star, some extra assembly is really required here. The shelves don't attach into place - they lay on top of the shelving bars, and it is absurdly easy to unbalance a shelf such that the shelf tips over and drops all your plants on the ground, spilling dirt and seeds everywhere. I had this happen and was not too amused. Don't let this put you off your purchase, though, as there is a simple solution: Buy some cheap cable ties (for example, Belkin 7.5IN Multicolored Cable Ties 52 Pieces) and use them to cinch the shelves in place. I used 6 ties per shelf (one in each corner and two in the middle) and the shelves are now completely sturdy and will never shift or move on me. And the cable ties are easy to cut, if you ever need to disassemble your greenhouse during a move.
So, bottom line, definitely buy this greenhouse for the bargain that it is and enjoy it immensely, as I am mine, but do remember to buy the cable ties (or something similar) to ensure that your pots won't fall and break.

Flower House PARENT Planthouse Review

I did not find this greenhouse to be difficult to assemble at all. It is reasonably sturdy and is doing a great job so far of keeping my roses protected from our sometimes fierce Ohio winds (I lost 9 of 10 bushes when I moved here last year because I did not protect them well enough from the wind). I do recommend adding a little portable fan or some other way to create air movement within the greenhouse for plants that are sensitive to any kind of fungus or mildew. Also, make sure to secure the greenhouse as it is very light and can blow away easily unless secured.
This is a great product for the price!

Flower House SpringHouse Review

This little greenhouse it terrific! I love it and have told all my friends and relatives about it so they can get one too.
I bought it to "save" tomatoes and herbs in my kitchen garden from freezing too soon. Our nights have dropped to freezing starting the last week of August and I had been going out to cover everything in flannel sheets and comforters every night then going out every morning to uncover them for daytime when it would be hot and sunny. It was just like having kids to put to bed every night and I couldn't leave home without worrying about not getting things covered before the night air got cold. Now I have this greenhouse, I just unzip the doors on the top section to allow for venting if the day is too warm and the air in the greenhouse stays just right even if I don't get home until after dark to zip it up all the way. The plants have really benefited from the added humidity too. I have even dug up some tomaoes, peppers and eggplants from the big garden and potted them in the greenhouse to see what happens. (The big garden has long since succumbed to the cold) They are starting to put out fruit and this greenhouse has given me at least one or two extra months for fresh produce and herbs.
Setup was a snap. I did it all by myself in nothing flat and then my husband gave me a hand with the tie downs because we have winds on a regular basis that can pick up a metal garage building and move it several feet. He was dubious about it staying put but by the time we got all the included tie downs in place he has changed his opinion.
Since the greenhouse is open on the bottom, I just slid it over my existing plants and then adjusted the position of the "skirting" on walls of my raised bed. After securing the tiedowns, I used some bricks on the outside skirting to secure it around the uneven terrain that I had errected it on. Next I installed the metal frame poles inside (they are just like the modern tent poles and go together within seconds if you read the directions and install them in the correct order.
The greenhouse comes in a nifty storage case and collapses down like those windshield sun screens that kinda coil up when not in use. Once my current kitchen garden plants have stopped producing, I plan to store the greenhouse and then set it up in a flat clear spot next spring for an early start on next year's goodies.
My terraced kitchen garden filled approximately one half of the greenhouse so I moved some garden shelves into one of the empty quarters and put a large wooden planter of herbs and strawberries in the other quarter. The shelves are holding 2 to 5 gallon pots with the vegetables I saved from the big garden before it froze. I still have more room if I want to fill it completely, but I left an aisle down the middle from one door to the next for now.
A little water goes a long way in this structure so I only water 2 - 3 times a week. I have more strawberries now than I had all summer and the tomatoes are really busting out.
There are small velcro'd openings for water hoses and power cords built in. I plan to set up a thermal controlled heat light this weekend as our first snow is due in a few days.
The doors have mesh screens as well as the polycarb door flaps. There are velcro straps all over for securing both sets of flaps.
We are installing a large sunroom/greenhouse to the front of our house next spring so this was the perfect little item for me to try out greenhouse gardening. I expect it to be a handy and useful auxilliary greenhouse for many years to come. No matter if you have a large garden or just a small bed, this greenhouse it really worth it's real estate in getting more from your plants in any climate. If I could, I'd buy several more and use them for cold frames in the big garden next year!

I found this to work well as a cold frame. As a seed starter (which is in the title of the product), not so great, since it really can heat up in there. It has to be monitored very closely. Even with the flaps rolled up and the shade mesh on it some seeds fried.

Flower House FHCV900 Conservatory Clear Greenhouse Review

Flower House FHCV900 Conservatory Clear Greenhouse
Average Reviews:

Let's not mince words: I chose to buy this greenhouse because it was the prettiest one in the price range. This model looks as much like a gazebo as a greenhouse can. The product designer should be proud.
Still, I was not entirely happy with the look once it arrived. Based on the photo, I mistakenly believed that the product was constructed of a light metal frame (the green parts) with a tight-fitting plastic drape. This is not true. The product is essentially a tent. The green areas are cloth, sewn onto the plastic. The supports are flexible tent poles, and hide on the inside. There are metal stakes you hammer into the ground. There are tie-down cords (not pictured in the photo, as they destroy the gazebo-look) to help withstand wind.
The product claims it takes 5 minutes to erect. It actually took me at least an hour. The process is simple and straightforward: Unwrap the greenhouse and let it spring its circular portions outward (like those playland-type kids' toys). It does this by itself. Get under the (flat, limp) greenhouse and insert a pole in a roof pocket, then tense it so you can get the other end in the corresponding ground pocket. Shimmy the pole to align with the green piping and strap it in place with about 5 sets of velcro tabs. Repeat ten times, as there are ten poles. You're done!
It takes considerable stength to tense the poles and move them into position. It's also a bit awkward because you have to either have the tent on its side (at which point you are walking on the plastic walls, crushing them between your shoe and any rocks that might be on the ground) or with the tent upright (at which point you need a short stepladder to reach the higher velcro tabs). Either way, this is best done by two people.
The set-up instructions are vague in a couple key places. Importantly, before you get many poles in place, you have to flip one of the bottom plastic lips to the interior of the greenhouse. If you don't, you'll end up having to take the poles out again so you can do this.
Overall, anyone with good upper body strength can set up this greenhouse, but I'm going to try my darnedest to not have to do so again. And -- be realistic -- it's still phenomenal that you can have your own greenhouse standing in about an hour.
One thing I love about this greenhouse is that it only weighs about 60 pounds. Two people can easily pick it up, fully assembled, and carry it to a new location. You don't have to commit yourself to the exact location for the greenhouse.
Another thing I like is that the plastic sides are crystal clear. It's nice to be able to see outside.
One thing I dislike is the door. Because the greenhouse is circular, the door panel is under as much outward pressure as the rest of the walls. For this reason, the zipper is hard to operate. You have to push the outside walls back in toward the zipper and use a little force to get it to close.
One online description claimed that you can attach more than one of these greenhouses together somehow. I don't see any means for that. There is only one door; if that hooked into the door of an identical greenhouse, there would be no way in.
Now that I understand it is essentially a tent, I think the $300 price tag is a bit much. Clearly, a lot of stitching went into this (and a lot of design forethought), and the free shipping must eat into the profits for something so heavy. Still, most tents are not this expensive.
Other notes:
* the plastic has a good, thick width
* there are a well-placed openings for hoses, electrical cords, etc
* the 9 windows allow for good ventilation; they and the door all have openable screen panels, too
* you can stake the greenhouse down without using the unattractive tie-downs (it is crucial to use the stakes at a minimum)
* greenhouse seems fairly strong and resilient
For what this product is (a pretty tent greenhouse), I can't imagine any way they could have designed it better.
I think you will like this product if you are a hobby gardener who is picky about how your yard looks and if you do NOT expect to go into the greenhouse on a daily basis (or if you plan to leave the door of the greenhouse open most of the time). If you are more serious about your seedlings, you may want to consider a model that will be easier to go in and out of. If cost is more important than looks to you, your best bet is probably still to build your own; many people I know have built bigger greenhouses for less money by fitting heavy plastic sheeting over a carport kit, then framing in a door on either end.

We got our Dream House by UPS and set it up in one hour, not 5 minutes. If we have to set it up again, it will go much faster, but it's not really explained clearly in the instructions.
The green house is of good quality. We have ours sitting in an area where it's protected from the north and is close to the south wall of our home, for warmth. It is exposed to strong winds from the south and west, but is quite stable, rather surprising as I was expecting it to become a large kite.
I will be using it as a cold greenhouse, that is no or little heat added and haven't really had t he chance to plant in it yet, but will be doing soon.
The only problem we've had to date is the zippers which secure the doors: 2 zippers per door, and all of them stick. I may just use the velcro patches when I get frustrated enough.

I'm really pleased with this greenhouse. It was pretty easy to assemble but I'm glad I read other reviews to know it's just a tad challenging to get the poles in (just a very tight fit). There are also little pockets that the end of the poles fit into and they were a little difficult to find (tucked into the inside seams). Very attractive and easy to move.
Very good product.
