The ones I received were in full bloom, so I enjoyed all their fragrance and beauty as soon as I extracted them from their 5-foot tall boxes. I'm rather new at this, so the instructions for planting and care were very welcome. After planting there was a huge bumblebee that decided to guard the new Lilac bushes, so I had to sniff carefully, but it appears this rare warm-climate strain is settling nicely into its drip-irrigated home and promises to make springtime a yearly pleasure for man and bee.

The Blue Skies Lilac is one of the best lilacs for warm winter areas.
