(More customer reviews)When I got this candle, I was a bit startled at how small it seemed. I thought it would be bigger. But after using it, I have realized it's worth every penny and doesn't need to be any bigger than it is. It is lasting FOREVER, and is great! It's worth it because it's great both as a candle (for scenting/lighting the room) and as a lotion! A little goes a LONG way, and it's thick, so I prefer it on my feet and elbows but it's good everywhere. Well worth it! Highly recommended. I loved the lavender smell but I'm going to try the other scents now too.

I use it to protect my fine linens, wool clothing and yarns and in bowls in the laundry, bathrooms and anywhere a little freshness would be welcomed. I am planning a "ladies luncheon" and plan to have small organza bags, a silver shovel and a big bowl of lavender for the ladies to "pour their own" bags to take home with them as a party favor. If you want to keep moths and insects away without the smell of moth balls, this is exactly what you need!

(More customer reviews)We bought this big bag of lavender because we recently moved to a desert area and in the first month here, we had seven confirmed scorpion sightings in the house or immediately outside the front door. My wife -- how can I put this diplomatically? -- did not react well to this.
So having read about people using lavender to keep scorpions away, I bought many products out of desperation hoping to achieve peace in the home. We used this lavender by placing it in these muslin drawstring bags, and tossing the bags all around the house.
There are three bits of good news about this. First and most importantly, we have not seen a single scorpion in more than a month since we spread the lavender around. Second, my wife likes the lavender smell. Third, the lavender smell is not strong enough for me to notice, so it doesn't really bother me. But our experience suggests that those looking for lavender for general potpourri purposes will not be disappointed.
The real test will be in the summer, when scorpions are more active in the hotter weather. If it turns out that lavender has stopped keeping our little venomous friends away, I'll change this review accordingly. Right now, I'm very pleased.
