The candles burned and the song played, but there were no sparkler effects, and the topper did not turn. We tried relighting the fuse, but no luck. What a disappointment!

When you light the wick, a large center flame is produced, the petals fall down producing several smaller lit candles, and a "Happy Birthday to You" melody is played. The song is not of the highest quality, but the kids will like it. You can cut the wire when you have heard enough. A word of caution - Really little kids might actually be a little scared when the center flame shoots out. It has some height!
