Shasta Daisies are hardy, drought tolerant, and heat tolerant, so in the SouthWest Desert we plant them in September for a beautiful, showy Winter flower that stays around brightly thru Spring and into Summer. Shasta Daisies RESEED well, so can be treated like a PERENNIAL in mild climates - a sudden frost will kill them, tho, as with ANY flower. But since they reseed, they will come back, and spread around the yard. We use peat pods (pellets) like Jiffy 5032 Professional Greenhouse 25-Plant Starter Kit to start the seedlings because otherwise the voracious BIRDS in our area EAT all the sprouts. We also have a problem with CATS using the flower beds, so we intersperse BIG ROCKS among the seedlings when we put them out to discourage THAT! CHEAP SEEDS is the very BEST place to order seeds, too, they are professional, courteous, and have a VAST selection on their web page. We got the rare and awesome CALIFORNIA WHITE LINEN POPPY there and mixed it in our Poppy Bed with Red Corn Poppies and Cosmos Sensation. (Too bad this GORGEOUS display is in the Backyard!) All of the seeds were purchased thru Cheap Seeds and ALL were viable. The corn poppies, for instance, were planted in the peat pots "Greenhouse" and were a quarter inch high on the THIRD DAY! (Started in Sept in a NORTH facing window.) When the seedlings are 3 weeks old, we put them outside in a prepared bed. (Big birds carry off smaller seedlings!) (More customer reviews)I only can give this product one star because it falls so very short. They used to sell the green set and it was so much better. This one has sprue marks on the tools because they were cast poorly which means that you must carefully sand them off. This leaves the tool with a satin finish instead of a glossy finish and it drags a bit. On delicate flower petals this is sure death! The quilting tool (little wheeled one) is awful and doesn't even rate a star! The blue and green cell pens are not silky like the silicon ones that are white and they are the wrong size, one too big and one not big enough. The metal spatula, actually a pallet knife in the art world, is way too thick to be of much use to get under thin rose petals. The case is nice and the handles are wonderful but over all, not a good investment at full price!!! Look for the older green set they used to market. By the way, the Ateco blue set has most of the same prolems! BAD SPRUE marks. Poor tools make your work even more difficult and your time and frustration can't be replaced!!

My first thought was that the cost was high for only 12 wrappers; however, they were adorable and I knew that they would be the perfect touch. When I got the package, I found that the wrappers were discolored and an ugly, faded "pink". The day before my party, I went to my local Hobby Lobby craft store and found the exact same wrappers for only $5.99 in a much more vibrant pink. I felt like I had been seriously ripped off!!
For all of those who are debating on purchasing: STOP, and go look at your local craft or party store before you purchase from this company.

(More customer reviews)I searched in google for ages for a thermos with a cute design on it that looked high quality. Finally, I found this one at [...] and amazon had a better price for it. I just used it for the first time today, and I really like it! I was so excited to get a thermos, so I can finally stop wasting disposable cups for my tea and apple cider. The café I go to even offers a 20 cent discount for using your own "travel mug," so it saves me a little money and saves the planet.
Appearance: It is a bit different than the picture. In the picture, the top has a funky black line through it (I think it's just bad photo-editing). The top is not really like that - it is a smooth, round, silver cap. Also, the main body of the thermos is not as bright a purple as it is in the picture - it is more subdued and darker. I think it looks nice and classy; even better than the picture. And of course, I really like the flowers! :) [...] has this same product in 3 other designs - a white (silver?) one with a butterfly, another white one with some circles and swirlies, and a blue one with big, black flowers. Not sure if any/all of them are on amazon or other online retailers.
Function: It almost works too well! It kept my cider so hot today that I had to sip carefully (even after an hour where I had the top open and was blowing on it!). I ended up mixing in some chilled apple juice to adjust the temperature. Anyway, this would be great for someone who likes their drinks to stay very hot for a long while. I plan to try packing some soup in it, and I'm sure it will still be nice and toasty for lunch at work. Also, as advertised, the outside of the thermos stays room temperature, even with a hot liquid inside. It holds as much as a Starbucks "grande" ("medium" in other coffee shops) and can insulate either hot or cold beverages.
Design: Relatively simple and effective. There is no straw or complicated flippy-sippy-top to deal with, just a hole in the top to drink out of. :) The only "complicated" part is that there are two tops. One is the outer top, which is the silver cup you can see in the picture; it is pretty quick to screw on and off. The inner top is a plastic stopper, which takes longer and screws on tightly; it appears to be designed to keep the heat in for long periods. While drinking out of it, you can use only the outer top so that it's easier to pop open and take a sip. You can also unscrew the stopper just a little bit, and there are special holes on the side so that you can pour out a controlled stream. You can also use the outer cap as a cup to drink out of, but that's kind of silly.
Drawback: The only drawback I see so far is that it is relatively heavy, even when empty - but I'm pretty sure that goes for all thermoses, especially stainless steel ones like this. I think the weight is worth it for the very nice insulating properties.
With tax and shipping, this cost me $30, but I think it was a worthwhile investment because this thing is effective and feels quite indestructible.

They're pretty simple, and could be easily made yourself, but when would you ever sit to do that. They go through the dishwasher well, the velcro closure holds, designs are nice. They sometimes hold colors, like orange from cheetos, but wash out well with a good gentle scrub. I would buy these again, and just might. I haven't had them long enough to attest to longevity, but they look & seem like they will hold up well worth the price, and Im doing a little part for the Earth, while saving a little on those plastic bags.

Household Essentials Standard Ironing Board Pads & Covers Review

(More customer reviews)When I managed to ruin our first ironing board cover, I ordered this one, thinking it would be a fine investment at a comfortable price point. I wanted something sturdy enough to use, but not terribly expensive, since we don't iron all that often.
The cover itself has the grey top piece with the bungee cord elastic around the sides to hold it on. There is a loose layer of foam underneath. There are no cross straps to hold it on the board and the foam is not attached to the top piece. I would love to tell you how it performed, but unfortunately, I was unable to get it to fit properly onto the board. The sides would keep popping up and the foam sliding around until I realized the foam in the nose was torn.
At this point I gave up on the cover as a lost cause and proceeded to buy a more expensive one with cross straps to hold it on and with the foam sewn into the actual peice. It cost about twice as much, did eliminate the aggravation and fit the board fine.
This may be a perfectly servicable cover, but I found it next to impossible to install on my board and am much happier with the new cover I have now.

It is reasonably sturdy and is doing a great job so far of keeping my roses protected from our sometimes fierce Ohio winds (I lost 9 of 10 bushes when I moved here last year because I did not protect them well enough from the wind). I do recommend adding a little portable fan or some other way to create air movement within the greenhouse for plants that are sensitive to any kind of fungus or mildew. Also, make sure to secure the greenhouse as it is very light and can blow away easily unless secured.
This is a great product for the price!
