The only thing is...it did arrive broken in the box and my boyfriend was quite upset that the racks were chrome coated plastic and not metal. But all in all I really like the look and the practicality of it.

(More customer reviews)My current problem with my spice rack is that the lettering is rubbing off. I've had this rack for about 4 months and the lettering on the lids just wipes off using a finger. This was actually a replacement set for an Olde Thompson set I had before where all of the lettering rubbed off on all of my jars. It seems that the jars are just poorly manufactured. Obviously, not having your spices labeled makes it difficult to quickly pick out your oregano from your parsley or italian seasoning mix etc... Other than that, though, the set is great and the spices are good quality. I have a customer service request in to see if they'll replace the lids as the lettering rubs off (as they say they will on their website) so I guess it shouldn't be a problem getting replacements, but just the idea that rub-off lettering is a standard issue is silly. They should have used a different printing technique for something that will sit near a stove and may get touched by oily or otherwise wet hands. It is a problem for all jars that have either white or black lettering on the lid.

(More customer reviews)Sure this spice rack looks wonderful but here's the problem:
a) it takes up more space than you think, and in a small kitchen space is at a premium. It needs a good amt. of space around it in order to spin properly.
b) most importantly the letters have rubbed off with normal use! Instead of Oregano it says 'egano'. And if the names of spices aren't perfectly facing forward you have no clue what what's inside.
c) my son dropped 1 spice holder and the top came off (sub-standard construction of the stress points) and was maimed irreparably.
Thankfully the place I bought it from has an unconditional return policy and I was able to get my money back.
Any product by Old Thompson has black writing on a silver background and it will only last a few months, so beware!
It's pretty and the spices were good quality, but I am searching for a better one or living with what I have - no spice rack.
