(More customer reviews)I have often bought cheaper seed starter and potting mixes, but I always come back to Promix. Seeds germinate faster, plants grow better, and seem to stay healthier compared to miracle grow potting soil. It is soil-less so it is disease and weed seed free. It is made of a mixture of peat moss, vermiculite, perlite, lime, micronutrients, fertilizer, and beneficial soil organisms. Ive tried making my own potting mix, which worked OK, but this stuff is the best.

(More customer reviews)This is a good well rounded fertilizer unless you happen to be growing organic. Many Fox Farm products which includes Happy Frog are labeled organic but this one however is not. To my understanding whatever compound makes it release over time is what makes it non organic. I use this product along with epsom salt, happy frog ferts, bone and blood meal to feed my plants. It also makes an effective but horrible smelling tea extract which the tea will feed unhealthy plants quicker when they need it.
