UPS had broken two of them & the seller had been unable to find a new one for me. Upon my return from a trip I found a large box waiting for me & low & behold there was my tureen! Had I know how hard this large bellied tureen would be to ship I may not have purchased it. Thanks to [...] I am now the proud owner of one of the most beautiful soup tureens available. Now all I have to do is make enough soup to fill it!

They are considerably smaller than the set i purchased in England ... i think maybe 6 ozs rather than 12 ozs. And obviously the saucers are smaller too.
I kept the product but was greatly disappointed. The cup size should be printed, and in fact they cost more than the larger ones. The price was high in general, as i found them cheaper in a store near home.
Internet shopping learning curve for me indeed.

(More customer reviews)I have been collecting many different pieces of Portmeirion Botanic Garden since my wedding in 1991. Lots of the pieces were given to me as wedding gifts, and I continue to add to my collection. It is by far my favorite pattern and continues to be used daily. My fine china is still sitting unused! I love to use these dishes year round, especially during the holidays. I have had the dinner plates for at least 5 years and not a single one is chipped. All pieces are extremely durable and are dishwasher and microwave safe. I regularly use my Botanic Garden baking dishes and covered casserole in the oven and on the table. The timeless design blends so well with all of my placemats, linens, other serving pieces and glassware. I use a little fruit bowl each morning for cereal and I always feel happy. I don't think I will ever get tired of this pattern.
