They are sturdy and have stood up to the elements quite well. They expand easily, so it's a snap to swap out planter boxes of varying sizes, which can be handy. And they're made in the USA! (More customer reviews)These brackets were somewhat disappointing, in that they are not as large as I was hoping, and these are, shall we say, a bit weaker and not as strong as I expected, these were also questionable as to weather they would do the job or not,once I filled the planter with plants and dirt.They are ok but could be bigger and heavier, but the price is good, but once again the shipping is expensive, but with nobody around selling your basic deck planter brackets, I had no other choice to order them.

(More customer reviews)I bought 6 of these for my flower boxes. I originally had two old Flower box holders that i decided to get new holders because they werent looking so hot (rusty and no paint). I received them and placed my 36" planter, as these are advertised to hold, and it bent the metal and almost fell to the ground. Not worht sending back for a refund, i ended up doubling up 3 flower boxes with 2 of these Holders each and used the other, older holders on the outside area.
The shape was exactly what i was looking for, the product is made out of cheap metal and will not hold a 36" box as advertised.
Unhappy with the product.

It is more solidly constructed than the larger holder (thicker metal bars) and works extremely well on those black metal railings few companies make pot holders for. This does not tip forward, holds a substantial amount of weight, and is not affected by strong wind or storms. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to jazz up their railings or, in my case, to fit numerous pots of herbs on the small balcony of their apartment.
